About DONATING for our SCHOOL GREENING PROJECT
We thank you for considering making
a donation to the Burlington Central High School Greening Project, which is
an important component in our Eco-School designation. It is our intent to create
a shade garden that acts as a gathering place for students, providing shade,
seating and a spot for quiet contemplation just inside the gates of the football
field on our campus. Also, it will provide a natural windbreak against part
of the west walls of the school and eventually considerable shade, which will
reduce overall energy requirements within the building.
The shade garden needs to be easily maintained, safe, indestructible and inviting
to our students for next school year and many years to come, and we are anxious
to use materials that will be durable and long lasting.
We would be pleased to receive donations
of the actual materials required, or donations to purchase these supplies.
